Our commitment is to take you behind the scenes and give you a firsthand look at how tequila is made, and demonstrate how to love it more. Learn its ancestral history and traditions, discover its land and birthtown and of course, taste this fine spirit – all in a relaxed, laid-back and unrushed atmosphere.

Tour Detail

This is a different tour - not a commercial, generic, school visit type of tour. We welcome tequila aficionados and the simply curious alike. The tour is made to be unique, educational and fun; like Mexico itself, a tour of the senses. All our guides are Mexican; they speak excellent English and some of them are also fluent in French. They will accompany you on your tequila adventure.

CRAFT PRIDE
We select lesser-known places that are 100% Mexican and that cultivate a love for the land and a pride for their craft. We make it our mission to bring acknowledgment and recognition to their hard work and the excellence of their product.

SMALL GROUPS
We privilege smaller groups for greater attention (tour size normally varies between 4-12 persons). Photos can be taken in any area of the distilleries.

  2. Roundtrip transportation between Guadalajara and Tequila.
  3. Throughout the day you will visit two family-run distilleries for a step by step explanation of tequila’s making process – from seeding to bottling – with one of our knowledgeable and friendly guides (Diana, David, Rocio, Brenda or Yaya);
  4. The visit of both distilleries will be crowned with a tutored tasting of their tequilas (the production varies from one distillery to another and may include double or triple distilled tequilas and/or liquors and creams);
  5. For lunch (included) you will enjoy traditional dishes from Jalisco in the heart of the market. Vegetarians are welcome - your request will be prepared at the moment;
  6. A stroll through the town of Tequila to visit its main attractions.

"Like being on a tour with a friend” Jeep Adventure was AMAZING! It was basically a personal tour with our guide Giancarlo. He made my fiance and I feel like he was a friend of ours showing us around. We learned so much about the tequila making process, how to choose 100% Blue Agave tequila and how to really enjoy tequila. The Jeep ride through the agave fields was so much fun! I love Jeeps and 4-wheeling! It was dusty, bumpy, and such a rush! We stopped at the top and enjoyed a beautiful view from up top of the agave fields. So relaxing. We couldn't have asked for a better tour guide! Thanks Giancarlo for making our experience a memorable one!

"This was the MOST FUN and INFORMATIVE tour!!” When people ask about our recent trip to Guadalajara, I tell them our FAVORITE thing was the Tequila Tour by Mickey Marentes. We had AWESOME guides in Odett and David. They both were so friendly, fun and informative. Our group of 6 was picked up at the hotel by David and Odett. We were joined by others from around the world to learn about the tequila making process and sampling tequila. We went in the field and harvested an agave plant like a jimador, toured factories and learned how to sample tequila. I would DEFINITELY recommend this tour on your next trip to Guadalajara.
