    The Queluz National Palace is a palace of the eighteenth century, one of the last large buildings in rococo style erected in Europe, the palace was built as a summer retreat for Dom Pedro of Braganza, who would later be husband and king consort his niece, queen Maria I of Portugal.

  • Vila Sintra e Palácio Nacional Sintra  

Sintra World Heritage/Cultural Landscape to UNESCO, a whole area that was assumed as a cultural and environmental context of specific characteristics: a cultural unit that has remained intact a host of palaces and parks.
  • Castelo dos Mouros

  • Palácio de Seteais

       Located in Sintra, World Heritage, stands this palace in the middle of a hilly terrain, where one can see the Atlantic Ocean and the Serra de Sintra, with a view to the Pena Palace and the Moorish Castle.
  • Cabo da Roca

    Westernmost point of continental Portugal, as well as Europe continental.Luís Vaz de Camões described it as the place "where the land ends and the sea begins" (in the Lusíadas, Canto III).
