You will be be picked up at Kotoka International Airport in Accra, Ghana. Jamestown is a town within Accra.

 

This town is full of a vibrant historical facts and monuments, a lot of these which you visit in this splendid day tour of Accra, Ghana.

Your first stop will be Shai Hills Wildlife Reserve, which is the closest wildlfe reserve to Accra. This forest became a reserve in 1962. This place was a home to the Shai people for a long long time until the British ejected them in 1892. THe remains of the Shai people can still be found in this wildlife reserve.

 

Next stop is the Dodowa Forest, which has a rich history. This was the battlefield for the Kantamanso War which ended with the defeat of the Great Ashanti Warriors.

 

We will also make our way to the Dodowa village, where we will have lunch in a comfortable restaurant.

 

Walking through, your next stop is the Tsenku Falls. This is located near Dodowa, near the greater Accra district region of Ghana. Dropping from a height of about a 250 feet, this is a very scintillating waterfall that will calm you for sure.

 

Another place of interest is the Sakumono Lagoon. This is mainly a saline lagoon which has a narrow connection to the greater water body that hits Ghana.

 

Next we head off to the Akosombo Dam. This is a scenic drive in the eastern region of Ghana. We will do some sightseeing and post lunch, we will depart for the Akosombo Dam. We will spend some quality time there observing the natural beauty in the region.
