Antananarivo, Ambatolampy, Antsirabe, Ambositra, Ranomafana, Fianarantsoa, Ambalavao, Ranohira, Isalo, Tulear, Anakao

DAY 1°: ARRIVAL IN ANTANANARIVO

Arrival at the international airport of Antananarivo-Ivato; meet our representative, then  transfer to your hotel; accommodation at Tana Hotel (3*) or similar; overnight in hotel.

DAY 2°: ANTANANARIVO > ANTSIRABE

Breakfast in hotel; departure in the morning by car, taking the road that crosses the central highland, amidst cultivated fields and rice paddies created in the plains by the inhabitants of these regions, the Merina; upon arrival at Antsirabe, capital of the Vakinankaratra region; free lunch; then tour of the characteristic town swarming with "posy" (rickshaws), the main town of an agricultural region, whose chief activity consists of working the cultivated vegetable fields and rice paddies; check-in at Royal Palace Hotel (3*) or similar; in the evening, dinner and overnight in the hotel.

DAY 3°: ANTSIRABE > NATIONAL PARK OF RANOMAFANA​

Breakfast in hotel; continuation of the journey with a stop in Ambositra for the visit of that typical town and its shops whose artisans carve objects in precious wood; "Zafimaniry" hand crafts are classified by UNESCO as an Intangible Culture Heritage; free lunch, then drive on between woods, pine trees and eucalyptus trees, crossing the villages of the Betsileo ethnic then drive on eastward to the National Park of Ranomafana; accommodation at Karibotel (3*); in the evening, dinner and overnight in hotel.

DAY 4°: NATIONAL PARK OF RANOMAFANA​

After breakfast in hotel, half day hiking in the park for exploring the rainforest of the Ranomafana for spotting birds, lemurs (within which three species of bamboo lemurs  the grey bamboo ones, the golden ones and the greater bamboo lemur), other lemur species can be viewed such as the Milen’sedwards Sifaka, the common brown lemurs, the red-bellied lemurs as well as different endemic species of birds (the wood rails, brown mesite, crossley’s babbler, Hensts goshawk, Pitta like ground roller, Velvet asity, the Pigmy kingfisher…. ); free lunch; in the afternoon, visit of a typical traditional village of the Tanala tribe which enables travelers to observe the daily life of this remot inhabitants, traditional music & dances, and meet with his majesty King of the tribe in his humble little palace in wood... by the end of the day, back to the hotel; dinner and overnight in hotel.

DAY 5: NATIONAL PARK OF RANOMAFANA > ISALO NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, continuation of the itinerary through the capital of Betsileo tribe "Fianarantsoa "; stop at Ambalavao to admire the artisan production of Antemoro paper, derived from natural fibres and an ancient process; then drive on and new stop at the Anjà Village Reserve, where you can discover plenty of Catta lemurs in a beautiful landscape; free lunch; after that, beyond the mountainous spurs of the plateau you reach an area of vast savannahs, populated by vast herds of zebus, which is interrupted only by the Isalo massifs; accommodation at Satrana Lodge (3* ecolodge) or similar; dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

DAY 6: ISALO NATIONAL PARK > TULEAR

Breakfast in hotel; whole morning dedicated to the visit of the national park also called "the colorado of Madagascar", characterized by canyons, pinnacles of stones and limestone of numerous peculiar shapes, streams, natural lake and ponds powered by rivers and waterfalls where one can take bath, strange rare plants such as Pachypodium Rosolatum, Aloes and the palm Satrana (Bismarkia Nobilis), used by local people in building traditional huts; free lunch; then continuation by crossing the Sapphire miners villages and passing through the bush filled by Mahafaly ancestors' burial sites; arrival in Toliary by the end of the afternoon; accommodation at Moringa Hotel (3*) or similar; in the evening, dinner and in the hotel.

DAY 7°: TULEAR > ANAKAO

After an early breakfast, transfer to the port then continuation by sail to Anakao; accommodation at Safari Vero (3*); rest of day at disposal; in the evening, dinner and overnight in hotel.

DAY 8°: ANAKAO

Whole day a disposal, dedicated for relax on one of the most beautiful beach of the south; in the evening, dinner and overnight in hotel.

DAY 9: ANAKAO > TULEAR > ANTANANARIVO

After an early breakfast, transfer by boat to Tulear; pich up by a private car; if time allowing, little city tour of Tulear including the alboretum of Antsokay where travellers can discover some of the endemic plants of the south of Madagascar, n due time, transfer to the airport and fly back to Antananarivo; upon arrival, welcome and transfer to Le Louvre Hotel & Spa (3*); in the evening, dinner and overnight in hotel.
