After the pick up from your hotel, your guide will transport you to the city of Chapala, located about 27 miles (45 km) south of Guadalajara on the shore of Lake Chapala.

Surrounded by mountains and famous for its beautiful scenery, the lake has become a hot spot for American retirees who are attracted by the amazing weather the región has all year.

Take a boat ride to the Scorpion Island, a small isolated island accessible only by boats, including popular canoes.

While enjoying the beautiful landscape, your guide will point out the many types of birds, including pelicans, that inhabit the lake.
