This tour starts in Launceston and finishes in Hobart
. 5 Days and 4 Nights Camping / Safari Camp and Walking TourIn five adventurous days we visit some amazing cool temperate rain forests and wonderful waterfalls and world class beaches. Starting with relic rain forest and waterfalls in the north west we continue down the east coast to the world famous Bay of Fires. Another full day is reserved to explore Freycinet Peninsula where we’ll climb up through the Hazards to view magical Wineglass Bay or walk the whole circuit. No visit to Tasmania is complete without a seeing the Tasman Peninsula and its giant sea cliffs.

Each day we participate in bush walks from 3 - 5 hours and travel by mini van or four-wheel-drive . We have exciting private camp and make delicious meals and dine by the campfire. The roomy tents are large enough to stand in and are located in a range of environments to allow us to appreciate Tasmania’s unique wildlife. Toilet Facilities at all sites and showers at most

)Day 1 (L,D) Launceston to Freycinet – Safari Camp
Leave Launceston approx 8.00am for the Freycinet peninsula via the Fingal valley. There are many smaller scenic walks to do once in the National Park. We will check into our private camp site with breathtaking views of Great Oyster Bay. This will be our base for the first 3 nights of the tour
Day 2 (B,L,D) Freycinet peninsula – Safari Camp
As we are camped right on the edge of Freycinet National Park its only a short car journey for a memorable day walks with outstanding views as we experience the Wineglass Bay - Hazards beach loop and enjoy a great lunch on the beach.
Day 3 (B,L,D) East Coast and Bay of Fires – Safari Camp
We will drive north back up the scenic east coast on dazzling turquoise waters and white sands of the Bay of Fires to explore the rich cultural heritage of the traditional owners in a tranquil setting and some amazing waterfalls set among relic cool temperate rainforest
Day 4 (B,L,D) Freycinet peninsula to Tasman peninsula – Public Camp in National Park
With an early start, we will enjoy the scenic drive through some little used back roads to the towering sea cliffs of the Tasman Peninsula. A walk to one of the many stunning capes in the region before camp at Fortesue Bay or another local camp ground
DAY 5 (B,L) Tasman Peninsula to Hobart (Concludes approx 5pm)
For the truly adventurous an early morning walk to the sea cliffs for sunrise is an option. A great way to round off the trip is the Mt Brown / Remarkable cave walks. This leaves us time to see many of the other natural wonders in the area before making our way back to Hobart. It is possible to conclude your tour at Port Arthur if you wish to spend more time to explore the World Heritage listed site
All inclusive small group guided 5 Day active camping and walking tour exploring the Central Highlands and West Coast of Tasmania. We encourage participation in duties around the camp like cooking and clean up from meals as we find this makes a great sense of team
All food from lunch day 1 to lunch to day 5 included. Snacks and small amounts of alcohol are permitted or can be brought along the way. Transport, parks passes; camping and cooking equipment is provided. Sleeping bags and rain jackets available for hire
