Brief

May 20-31, 2014. Tour to many of the historical locations in the history of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Includes visits to unique, interesting locations of American historical, and cultural interest.

Tour Detail

Pre Tour. Fly to Idaho Falls, time to enjoy falls, and cityscape, dinner. Lodging downtown. (airfare is not included)

Day 1 Wednesday May 21nd   (CB)
Tour Departs from Idaho Falls, Idaho.
Pinedale WY for our first break, and then it is on to Rawlins WY for lunch.
Mormon & Oregon Trail; Mountain Men.
Pine Bluffs WY for our next break. Continuing on to North Platte NE for dinner and our nights stay. 

Day 2 Thursday May 22nd  (CB)

After you have had your continental breakfast  We will have a devotional and then give you time to rest, just out of Lincoln, NE.  Winter Quarters, for the tour of the pioneer cemetery and visitor’s center. Council Bluffs; and Kanesville Tabernacle. 


MT Pleasant IW for dinner. Arrive in Nauvoo; for three nights

Day 3 Friday May 23th (B,D)

Nauvoo Temple sessions starting at 7 and 9. 

Spend time at the visitor’s center and the sites.
Dinner at the Nauvoo house Buffet. After dinner, we will enjoy the Rendezvous show. Then walk the Trail of Hope to the Mississippi River. (Formerly the Trail of Tears)

4 Saturday may 24th   (B,D)

LDS Services in Nauvoo - ( A Rare experience!) Carthage jail site; Nauvoo; Community of Christ sites. 

Day 5 Sunday  May 25th  (B,D) 

Full day finishing your tour of Historic Nauvoo, then to visit the Sunset on the Mississippi show. After the show we are back to the hotel to rest up and pack up.

Day 6 Monday  May 26th  (B,D)

Today is a long travel day and we will lose another hour to a time change to EST. We will have our devotional and then you can rest and relax as we travel across Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio.
Stop in Indianapolis for lunch.
Then head to Charm OH were we will check in to our hotel and then load and travel to an Amish home for dinner. Then it is back to the hotel and relax.

Day 7 Tuesday  May 27th (B)

Berlin OH here you can shop for Amish items until your heart is content, we will have lunch here and then travel around to some of the other sites in the area. Then dinner then back to the hotel for the night.

Day 8 Wednesday May 28th  (B,D)

We will travel to Hiram OH and see the John Johnson Farm site.  Then we will travel N to Kirtland we will find lunch along the way.  Kirtland Temple tour.  The LDS Visitors center and do the walking tour there. Morley Farm; then Mentor Oh for dinner at the Home Town Buffet.

Day 9 Thursday May 29th (CB,)

North to Erie PA then head east, to Harmony PA; then travel on to the Whitmer home site in Fayette NY. Travel on to Newark NY where we will have dinner and stay the night. Our hotel is right next to the Erie Canal and there is a nice walk way to follow.

Day 10 Friday May 30th   (CB-D)

Experience the Sacred Grove; visit theSmiths' Log home and the Frame home sites. Hill Cumorah site. 
Palmyra for lunch; Grandin Press Building; Alvin Smith gravesite.

Day 11 Saturday May 31st  (CB,)

Departure today will be from Rochester Airport, with transfer from hotel, via our motorcoach in the AM.

Tour includes Modern motorcoach, 19 meals, Tour Director & local guide/interpretation services. Does not include gratuities for driver or tour director.

Booking requires Travel Insurance, and/or waiver. Cancellations penalties may apply. Please inquire.

100% refund if cancel 7 days before tour starts.

80% refund if cancel within 6 days before tour starts.

50% refund if cancel within 5 days before tour starts.

NO refund if cancel within 3 days before tour starts.

You will be refunded for all costs EXCEPT Processing Fees.

Guests can get full refunds at any time of cancellation prior to the actual date of the tour if that cancellation is due to a Force Major reason. Force Major reasons include but are not limited to war, civil insurrection, strikes, volcanoes, extreme weather, earthquake, and natural disasters.
