This morning you pick up your bike at EagleRider Melbourne and begin your journey heading out to the most spectacular road in Australia. Subject to weather you will take a ferry trip across Port Phillip Bay to the town of Queenscliff. From there you head toward the Great Ocean Road travelling through the tourism based towns of Torquay and Apollo bay before spending the night at Port Campbell. In addition to travelling on a road "built" for motorcycles you can stop to take in the views of the "12" Apostles. London Bridge and Perry's Look out.
Today you continue on to travel the second half of the Great Ocean Road. Not many people travel the whole road in one trip but you do so visiting a number of historic towns including Port Fairy and Portland before heading across the South Australia border to Mt Gambier where you visit the Blue Lake. The final leg of the day will take us to further up the coast to the town of Robe where you spend the night.
You now turn around and begin the trip back but rather than go the way you have come, you head inland and travel on country roads and through Hamilton before taking the twists and turns of the tourist road to Halls Gap. Halls Gap is the heart of the Grampians and is surrounded by the Wonderland and Mount William Ranges. It has beautiful valleys, unusual rock formations‚ waterfalls‚ scenic drives and lookouts. The park is one of Victoria's most beautiful natural attractions. Wander around the area taking in the views or watch the kangaroos and wallabies.
After an early breakfast you will continue to travel east back to EagleRider in Mitcham, Melbourne. However you'll spend the afternoon at one of Australia's premier tourist attractions, Sovereign Hill in Ballarat.
