Villages Celuk, Mas, Topati (Ubud) - Tirta Empul - Gunung Kawi - Museum Antonio Blanco - Goa Gajah (Elephant Cave) - Rice terraces Tegalalang

Tour Detail

The excursion starts in the morning with your pickup from the hotel. The first point of the route -traditional Balinese villages Celuk, Mas and Topati, famous with its craftsmen on wood, batik, stones, pearls, silver, and gold. The local masters will share with you their experience of manufacturing some beautiful goods. Skills are passed for many generations - from the fathers to sons. That is also a place to buy the souvenirs.

Next you will visit the temple of Tirta Empul, emerged in place of the sacred sources, the healing properties of which already opened for 962 year. The temple consists of a series of courtyards with pools. The water is always clear and cold, as supplied with the sources. It hosts bathing rituals - spiritual and physical cleansing for human. If desired, you can also go through this ritual.

Next you will go to one of the oldest (11 in.) and mysterious monuments of Bali - Gunung Kawi, complex of structures which is included in UNESCO World Heritage List. The monument consists of the huge altars carved into the stony slopes.

Undoubtedly, the highlight of the tour is a Antonio Blanco Museum. Today, the green jungle shrouded house on the banks of a mountain stream in Ubud is a picture gallery of his former master. A quaint home interior in art deco style and a courtyard with parrots living here are no less interesting and picturesque than extravagant paintings of the artist.

Also during the tour you will see the amazing rice terraces Tegalalang and Goa Gajah (Elephant Cave) - the temple complex, named in honor of its territory that is located on the cave. The name of this area was due to the image of elephant heads, which are carved into the rock at the entrance to the cave. Before this cave was a hermitage for the Buddhist monks.

Going on this tour, you will certainly get a lot of impressions, hear interesting stories about these wonderful places and do a lot of memorable photographs.
