This morning you transfer to the domestic airport and fly to Pokhara. Pokhara is a beautiful mountain town sitting at 3,700 feet. Here you meet the trek guide and transfer to Nayapul to begin your trek. Pause and have lunch at Birethanti - a small village at the foot of the Modi Khola Valley. This is one of the main stops along the circuit. After lunch, continue on to Tikhedhunga. Relax here for the rest of the day, enjoying the mountain views and company of the friendly local Sherpas. Have dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 4

Ghorepani

Feel the burn with a day of uphill trekking through the small, picturesque villages of Brahmins, Chhetris, Gurungs and Magars. Enjoy lunch at midday in Banthanti. Walk through blooming rhododendron and pine forests until you arrive Ghorepani. Ghorepani sits at 9,300 feet, and the trek lasts about six hours. Refuel with a hot dinner and comfortable night’s rest in the sleepy little mountain town.

Day 5

Ghorepani to Tatopani

Rise before the sun and trek up to Pun Hill for a breathtaking view of the sun rising over the Himalayas. Return to Ghorepani for breakfast. It’s a downhill day with the trail descending gradually to reach Tatopani’s natural hot springs. Tatopani translates directly to “hot water.” Bathe and relax in the calming, steamy waters. Today’s trek takes six hours. Have dinner and overnight in Tatopani.

Day 6

The Kali Gandaki River leads the way on your trek today. Pass by the rushing waterfalls, Thakalis and Dana. Pause for lunch by a waterfall, where you can admire Nepal’s natural beauty. After lunch, trek uphill to Ghasa. Today’s distance takes six hours once again. Have dinner and overnight in Ghasa.

Day 7

Ghasa to Marpha

Pass between the Dhaulagiri and the Annapurna Range and witness an intense climate change. Begin your journey in lush, green forests and finish in a dry, arid desert. It’s hard to believe you’re in the same country, much less within walking distance! Pass through the beautiful Kalopani, sitting at 8,300 feet. Here you can enjoy your first view of Annapurna. Reach Lamjung, a Thakali village where you can rest and chat with locals before continuing onto Marpha. You’ll have trekked in total six hours today. Have dinner and overnight in Marpha.

Day 8

Here you have dinner and spend the night. Today’s trek is only five hours long.

Day 9

Kagbeni to Muktinath

It’s a steady climb up to Muktinath, at 12,475 feet. The trek is shorter today to account for the altitude climb. Reach Muktinath at midday. Here you have lunch and rest. It’s absolutely necessary for climbers to rest here to acclimatize. Today’s trek is four hours long. Spend the rest of the day and night at the Muktinath Camp, enjoying the views and company of your comrades.
