The Incredible Bhutan tour is a very short but beautiful tour that highlights Bhutan’s popular western and spiritual places. This tour includes a visit to the most beautiful and rich architectural Dzongs and temples. We can also organize a range of add-on options for you to provide the most unforgettable experience of the Dragon Kingdom.

Tour Detail

Day 01-Receive at Paro (2200metres) & transfer to Thimphu valley (2300metres) (1 Hr)
On the first day you will be received by the representatives of Yarphel Tours at the Paro International airport. First you need to clear all the customs formalities and then you will meet our representatives at the exit door welcoming you. This would be your first image on the land of Thunder Dragon. As soon as you are received by our representatives you will be directly driven to the capital city of Bhutan which is around one drive from the airport. After reaching Thimphu first check in hotel and rest for half an hour just to acclimatize the place. Then your Lunch will be served in the hotel.

In the afternoon drive to the memorial chortean(Stupa)  which is build in 1974 by the Queen mother of the third King in his memory. Chortean (Stupa) is the earliest form of Buddha image to commemorate major event in his life. Everyday hundreds of devotees come to circumambulate the chortean. After the visit to chortean drive to Changangkha Lhakhang built in 13th century by the famous Tibetan lama,the introducer of Drukpa religion in Bhutan Phajo Drugom Zhigpo. It is the oldest temple in the Thimphu.Depending on the time you will be visiting the Takin Zoo and the nunnery temeple at Zilukha. Takin is the National animal of Bhutan and it has a rich history related to the Devine mad man. The animal is very different in its appearance. The nunnery is one of the privately run nunnery in Bhutan which is built in early 15th century by Thang Thong Gyalpo often referred to as the King of the open field. Back to hotel by evening. Overnight at Thimphu.

Day 02-Thimphu – Punakha (2 ½ Hrs)
After the breakfast at the hotel drive to Kuensel Phodrang popularly known as the Buddha point in Thimphu localaties.It is considered one of the largest Buddha in sitting posture in the world with the height of 51.5 metres. The Buddha project is estimated to be around USD 100 million after its full completion. Then visit the traditional Hand Made Paper Mill, School of Arts and Crafts where students learn 13 different arts used predominantly in Bhutan, Folk Heritage Museum, National Library and the Traditional Institute of Medicine.

Your lunch will be arranged in the town and after lunch drive to Punakha ,the old capital of Bhutan passing through Dochula pass at (3200metres). It depends on ones luck when you reach at Dochula pass to see the spectacular view of the mountains of Bhutan. You can see all the mountains in a stretches almost 180 degrees with the highest mountain being the Mt.Gangkar Puensum(7,158 metres). You can walk around the 108 stupas built by the Queen mother Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck,the eldest Queen mother. It is built in honor of the fourth King. Continue your journey Punakha valley (1200 Metres).Overnight at Punakha.

Day 3-Sightseeing in Punakha.
After breakfast  drive to visit Punakha Dzong (fortress) built in 1637 by the unifier of the country Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyel.The Dzong  houses the most elaborated temple in the country and it is also the country’s  most beautiful Dzong. The Dzong serves as the winter residence of Bhutan’s central monastic body led by his Holiness the Je Kehnpo(Chief abbot).The Dzong also showcase a fine example of Bhutanese rich Art and Architecture. A short walk to the suspension bridge and see the rural life of Bhutan, If possible interact with villagers and visit the traditional houses. After lunch go for an hour hike to the temple of Khamsum Yuley Lakhang or the fertility temple built in early 15th century. The fertility temple is dedicated to the Devine mad man and it is associated with religious art of phallus. The childless couple visits this temple to get blessings. Overnight at Punakha.
 

Day 04-Drive from Punakha – Paro (3 ½ Hrs.)
After breakfast drive back to Paro following the same route via Dochula pass .Lunch will be arranged at Thimphu and half an hour leisure time in Thimphu. You can stroll around town and do shopping if you find any interesting things to buy. After lunch drive towards Paro and visit Paro Dzong (Fortress) built in 1644 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyel. After visiting the Dzong short walk passing through the oldest cantilever wooden bridge. In the evening visit farm house and experience the traditional food and wine and also hot stone bath (at personal expense) at the farm house. On the way back though town get some opportunity to see the traditional game, Archery match going on. Get back to hotel and get good rest for tomorrows hike to Taktsang(Tigers Nest).
Overnight in Paro.

Day 05| Paro Sightseeing
Early breakfast and  drive to the base of Taktsang for the hike (2-3hrs uphill) to Tiger's Nest, the icon of the country which is perched on the cliff overlooking the Paro valley. The famous Tigers Nest is believed to be blessed by the great Indian master and the father of Buddhism Guru Rinoche in the 9th century. Your lunch will be served in the cafeteria where you will get very good view of the temple. Your half of the day will be absorbed in the hike so depending on the time on the way back will visit the Kyichu temple built in 7th century by the Tibetan Buddhist king Tsongtsen Gampo. This temple is believed to be the first temple built in the country and the very route of Bhutanese architecture. Back to hotel and relax for half an hour. In the evening leisure time in town to do the last shopping from Bhutan if you have any gifts to buy to your friends and families. Farewell dinner in town with the team and back to hotel.
Overnight in Paro.

Day 06-Departure:
Breakfast at the hotel and  transfer to the airport for your departure flight. Your guide will bid you farewell at the airport.

Tour Detail
