Tour Detail

Day 1 Marrakech –Imlil - Tacheddirt

Approximately 4-5 hours walking, 2 hours driving

Elevation: 2491m

Travel from Marrakech to the picturesque Berber town ofImlil. Situated in the heart of the High Atlas Mountains Imlil is the hub of the mountaineering community and is often referred to as ‘little Chamonix’. Werondevu with our muleteer team in Imlil, and begin our journey toward the Tizin’Tamatert. With its stunning greenery, red-earth hills and pine forests this is a destination not to be missed on your Moroccan adventure! Our vantage points today will give way to stunning views of the Imlil and Imenane Valleys. Into the Imenane Valley Berber Villages dot the landscape, perched precariously into the cliffy hillsides. Our evening will be spent relaxing or meeting the locals in the oldest Berber village in the Toubkal range, Tacheddirt.

Day 2Tacheddirt - Timichi

Approximately 7 hours walking

Elevation: 2030m

We set out today toward the village of Timichi. Tucked intoa lush valley next to a lazy river the trek here is well worth the effort. Stunning panoramic views of Jebel Aksoul, BouIguenouane and Angou are abundant on our trek over the Tizin’Tacheddirt. Enjoy the beautiful views of the lush green valley’s set against the red earth and rocky peaks as we settle for an authentic Berber style picnic. Our travers and decent of the pass will bring us into the Berber village of Iaabassene and a little further on to Timichi.

Day 3 Timichi – SettiFatma - Marrakech

Approximately 4-5 hours walking, 2 hours driving

Elevation: 2479m

A more leisurely, less strenuous, hike through the valleys filled with cornfields, orange groves, walnut trees and meandering streams will set us on the path toward the village of SettiFatma. SettiFatma is renowned for its unique riverside location with grassy terraces surrounded by the massive peaks of the High Atlas. In the rocky foothills above the village are a series of six, at times seven, waterfalls. This is a true hidden gem and one that is not to be missed. Enjoy some well-deserved relax time before we board the coach bus to transfer back to Marrakech.
