Tour plan day by day:

DAY 1: YANGON

Visit a 99 meters gilded Shwedagon Pagoda at sun-set. Next stop is Yangon’s Little India. IndianSriKali temple and Chinatown. Enjoy the night market, take a look at the Cantonese Kwan Yin temple.

DAY 2: YANGON

After breakfast transfer to Sule Pagoda and continue to the Mahabandoola Park featuring Myanmar’s Independence Monument. Continue to the Pansodan Street which will take you to the Pansodan jetty. Walk along the river todiscover more colonial buildings: The British Embassy and the General Post Office. In the afternoon – Chaukhtatkyi Pagoda, later on, visit Bogyoke Aung San Market dominated by antiques, Myanmar handicrafts, finish the day by a stroll in the Kandawgyi Park admiring a sunset over TheRoyal Barge and the Shwedagon Pagoda in a distance.

DAY 3: YANGON - MANDALAY

Flight to Mandalay and transfer to Amarapura – a former capital of Myanmar. Visit Waso Monastery, and 1208meters long U-Bein Bridge that spans across beautiful Taung Thaman Lake. It is the world’s longest wooden bridge. Visit Mahamuni Pagoda, explore several local artisan’s in the afternoon visit other highlights of Mandalay: Shwenandaw Golden Palace Monastery, Atumashi Monastery and Kuthodaw Pagoda. Ascend to the top of Mandalay Hill to enjoy panoramic view of the city.

DAY 4: MINGUN – MANDALAY

Mingun - You will see some simple local life on the banks of the river. Upon reaching the shore you will cross the grounds of whitewashed Set Taw Yar pagoda.Walk through the village to see grand Pathodawgyi pagoda known otherwise as the unfinished pagoda. Take aglimpse of the Mingun Bell and the Sin Phyu Me Stupa.

DAY 5: MANDALAY - BAGAN

Early morning departure by boat down the Irrawaddy River to Bagan. On the way admire idyllic river scenes, mountain views and village life. After disembarking proceed to Shwesandaw temple which is one of the best spots to watch the sunset.

DAY 6: BAGAN

Visit to a local market. Proceed to the 12th Century in Bagan, built in a plan similar to that of Ananda Temple.You will also take an enjoyable horse cart ride around the temples before heading to the Ayeyarwaddy Riverjetty to board a boat and enjoy the sunset. Alternatively catching a sunset from the top of one of the pagodas.

DAY 7: BAGAN

Myinkaba village and observe the process of making traditional lacquerware. Visit Myinkaba Gubyaukkyi temple built in 1113 The temple features spectacular wall paintings preserved by UNESCO. In the afternoon enjoy an excursion to the countryside village of Minnanthu as wellas famous temples of the area: Tayok Pye, Payathonzu .Enjoy sunset over the Ayeyarwaddy River from Bu Paya.

DAY 8: HEHO – PINDAYA – NYAUNG SHWE

Flight to Heho. Visit the unique Pindaya Caves Later, visit a small workshop at the foot of Shwe Oo Min Hill where paper umbrellas are being made from the bark of a mulberry tree. In the afternoon drive for 3,5 h to NyaungShwe gateway to the Inle Lake. Stop on the way for some photo opportunities and to visit fascinating Shwe Yan Pyay Monastery built from wood in the early 19th century.

DAY 9: INLE

Tour of Inle Lake by private boat to see the legrowing fishermen and the floating gardens. Visit Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda located in the middle of the lake. Capture sunset over Inle Lake.

DAY 10: INLE – INDEIN

Explore Indein located in the south-western corner of Inle Lake. In the afternoon, visit the weaving village of Inn Paw Khone, cheroot making factory, goldsmith, silversmith, and the Nga Phe Kyaung Monastery.

DAY 11: INLE – YANGON

Visit Ywama village and surrounding areas. In the afternoon, pick up from your hotel and transfer to the airport.

DAY 12: YANGON

Yangon’s Central Railway Station, where you will board circular train. The slow train rides in a circle around various Yangon neighborhoods and on the outskirts of the city. See Insein, which is a home to one of the city’s best fresh produce’s markets. Transfer by car to Kalaywa Monastery, inhabited by almost 2,000 monks. Observe the ceremony of eating lunch – their last meal of the day according to the Buddhism principles. Eat lunch at the restaurant of your choice and transfer to the airport for departure.

DAY 1: YANGON
