Martin Sauter, German-born and raised, and I have experienced the fall of The Wall first hand. I have since lived in Paris, London, and Bath where I gained an MA and a PhD before returning to Berlin a few years ago. I am fluent in English, French and, of course, German and so all my tours are offered in those three languages. I am very curious by nature, and no city could possibly be more of a challenge to the curious mind than Berlin as you seem to forever come across some new sights and buildings in the most unlikely places. Berlin as a city is in constant flux, new museums are being built on a regular basis (right now, for instance, the Humboldt Forum or the Center for Flight, Deportation & Reconciliation) and existing ones get revamped. In fact, so enthralled by the city's continuous change was I upon my return from the UK, that I decided to turn my fascination with Berlin into my profession. Especially, since unlike with Paris, or London, having a tour guide in Berlin to me seems essential!
